End of Life Product Notification

DAC Series III and earlier machines — including DMC1, DMC2, and DMC3 controllers

DAC International has initiated the formal End of Life (EOL) process for all machines of the DAC Series III or earlier generation, including those operating in these series with analogue controllers or DAC’s proprietary digital motion controllers DMC1, DMC2, and DMC3.

End of Life status means that DAC International will no longer manufacture, stock, or supply replacement parts, modules, or software updates for these machine generations. Customers currently operating DAC Series III or earlier machines are strongly encouraged to review the full EOL notice and contact DAC International to discuss upgrade and replacement options.

Full EOL documentation

The complete End of Life notification — including effective dates, specific models and controller versions covered, and transition guidance — is available in English and Spanish:

What End of Life means for your operation

  • Spare parts and replacement modules for Series III and earlier (including DMC1/2/3 controllers) are no longer available from DAC International
  • Software updates and technical support for these machine generations are discontinued
  • Field service visits for Series III and earlier machines cannot be guaranteed due to parts availability
  • Continued operation of EOL equipment is at the customer’s risk — DAC recommends planning a replacement cycle

Upgrade path — move to current DAC platforms

Current DAC ALMe, ALM, and MLC platforms provide a straightforward upgrade path for Series III operators. The ALMe and ALM lathes are compatible with your existing specialty contact lensIOL and ICL production processes, your current tooling and blocking setup, and DAC’s latest software suite including 50+ lens design algorithms, cutting simulation, and the IOL PM Suite. Contact DAC International to discuss a migration plan.
