DAC International was founded in 1964 building high speed, high capacity circuit board manufacturing systems. Since 1974 DAC pivoted with a single, enduring purpose: to build the most precise, most reliable manufacturing equipment in the world for the specialty contact lens and intraocular lens industries. Five decades later, that purpose is unchanged — and so is our commitment to the customers who depend on our equipment to produce the lenses that help improve or even restore people’s vision.
Today, DAC International is the world’s leading supplier of ultra-precision CNC lathes, mill/lathe combos, blocking systems, automation, and lens manufacturing software for specialty contact lens, IOL and ICL (implantable collamer lens) producers worldwide. Our machines operate in manufacturing facilities across North and South America, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and beyond — producing lenses that restore and correct the vision of millions of patients every year.

Every DAC machine that leaves our facility in Carpinteria, California has been engineered, assembled, and validated to the standards that ultra-precision optical manufacturing demands.
DAC has been an active innovator in specialty contact lens, IOL and ICL manufacturing for more than five decades. The FT-3, 3-tool fast servo — leading the way in the industry for fast-servo applications. The IOL PM Suite — the only software that auto-calculates optic and haptic toolpaths in a single step. The ALMe is an ergonomic lathe platform. These are not incremental updates. They are step-changes that expand what our customers can produce and how efficiently they can produce it.
DAC's relationship with its customers does not end at delivery. From initial consultation and installation through operator training, ongoing support, and future upgrades, DAC is invested in the long-term production success of every lab that runs our equipment. Our field service team — headquartered in Carpinteria with additional presence in Europe — responds with the urgency that production environments require. We show up as one seamless team, not a vendor waiting to be called.
When something needs attention, DAC responds. Via email, video conference, phone, remote diagnostic connection, or on-site field service visit — we bring the support to where it is needed. Every customer is trained in first-line preventive maintenance and module troubleshooting before their equipment ships. All DAC machines carry a full 12-month parts and labor warranty. And our technical team is reachable when it matters.
