RxD Lathe Automation

 Automation is a key ingredient for all systems manufactured by DAC International. An autoloading system is offered for RxD lathes.

 A conveyor system delivers the tray first to a staging area. The tray then passes the bar code reader on its way to the loading area where the right lens is positioned. Once in position, the vacuum cup moves the blocked lens into the chuck, releases the lens and moves to clear the automatic swarf door closing.

 When the lens has been turned, the swarf door opens, the lens is removed and placed back in its tray.

 Turning of the left lens follows this same cycle to completion and the tray is released to be delivered, by the conveyor, to the next station.
