Applications Engineer

The successful applicant will be responsible for development of applications used with DAC International product line. This person will be responsible for the training of customers and employees, and use of the entire product line. The job will require worldwide travel, troubleshooting, and customer service support. The applications engineer works with sales, software, and engineering departments, to help meets customer demands.

This position reports directly to the Applications Manager.

Job Duties (included but not limited to):

• Operation of all DAC products
• Knowledge of the ophthalmic and contact lens industries is desirable
• Develop new procedures and/or processes for us in laboratories.
• Educate customers and coworkers on advanced processes.
• Develop software applications for product line.
• Perform duties of Senior Service Technician when needed.
• Perform customer support activities as needed.
• Represent DAC International at trade shows.

Working Environment:

Production facility located in Carpinteria, CA. Worldwide field work up to 50% of the time.

Job Qualifications:

• BS Degree, or Technical School with experience.
• Computer literate
• DOS, and C programming language are a plus.
• Knowledge of the ophthalmic and contact lens industries desirable.

Software Engineering Position

The ideal candidate will be hard working, quick to learn, able to solve tough 

problems, and communicate well with co-workers and customers. 

Experience with C, good math skills, motion control programming a plus.
